**Mission** To protect life, maintain public safety, and provide rapid, adaptable emergency response wherever the need arises. TACT is not defined by a single discipline. Its purpose is to place capable personnel and appropriate equipment where they are needed most, whether that means extinguishing a vehicle fire, treating an injured driver, locating a missing person, intercepting a dangerous vehicle, or coordinating rescue operations in difficult terrain. TACT's operational responsibilities include Fire & Hazard Response — Structural, vehicle, brush, and roadside fires, hazard mitigation and scene protection. Emergency Medical Services — Medical first response, stabilization, casualty transport, and support during major incidents. Search & Rescue — Missing persons, wilderness searches, stranded motorists, technical rescue, and remote area response. Traffic & Speed Enforcement — Highway patrol, speed enforcement, reckless-driving intervention, and traffic safety operations. Pursuit & Interdiction — High-risk vehicle pursuits, dangerous driver apprehension, and coordinated roadway containment. Motor Vehicle Collision Response — Crash rescue, traffic control, vehicle stabilization, extraction, and scene management. Roadside Assistance & Recovery — Disabled vehicles, towing support, vehicle recovery, and assistance in hazardous locations. Disaster & Crisis Response — Large-scale emergencies, severe weather, evacuations, infrastructure incidents, and mutual aid deployments.
