Rules
The breaking of any of these rules one time or multiple times can be followed up with administrative action. Administrative action may be but not limited to muting, kicking, temporary banning, permanent banning, or a restriction (e.g. not allowed to drive trucks for one day, or not allowed to roleplay for one day, etc.).
The administration team always have the final say on the server and on Discord — whatever they say goes. Every administrative action is reviewed by an internal peer group to ensure abuse is not tolerated.
Basic Player Behavior & Chat Rules
1.Be kind to your neighbor (The Golden Rule)
Be kind to your neighbor, don’t be toxic, love everyone, and just have fun.
This is the rule every other rule on this list reduces back to. When in doubt, default to kindness.
2.Hate speech
Hate speech, racism, slurs, discrimination, and bigotry of any kind will not be tolerated on TinyTown.
This applies in every space the community lives in — in-game chat, voice, Discord, the website, forum threads, group posts, everywhere.
3.Vulgarity
Swearing is allowed on TinyTown but we want to keep it to a minimum. Exercise modesty and use good judgement.
If a swear is being aimed at another player, or used to be cruel or shocking, that crosses the line into toxicity and will be treated as such.
4.Toxicity
If you are constantly being annoying, harassing others, or acting negatively, that’s called being toxic and is not allowed on TinyTown.
Remember rule #1 — be kind to your fellow neighbor.
5.Politics & religion
These are sensitive topics and we don’t want them discussed here because they tend to cause arguments.
We all want to be friends on TinyTown. Let’s haul, race, and roleplay together instead of bickering about politics or religion.
6.Advertising & promotion
Attempting to advertise a website, another server, a Discord server, or any other community without prior authorization from Drew himself will be met with an immediate permanent ban.
7.Impersonation
While we’re flattered, we do not appreciate impersonation of server staff or any other departments.
Official administrators will have a star beside their name in-game and a badge beside their name on the website. Anyone who does not have this and is threatening you or impersonating an admin is breaking the rules.
This also means acting as a police officer when you are not one.
8.Language
We love the diversity of our community. The most common language spoken on TinyTown is English, so we appreciate it if you would keep English in the main chat.
You’re more than welcome to whisper via
/wto your friends in other languages, or start a party so you can all speak together.9.NSFW
This one shouldn’t have to be explained, but: no pornographic, illegal, gore, shock, or extreme explicit content on the site, the server, or the Discord.
10.No question or new-player shaming
Do not shame new players — or anyone — for asking questions. Saying things like "check Motorpedia you idiot" will not be tolerated.
Answer their question kindly and point them at the resources. Something like:
You can buy the rotator from the tow truck dealership. P.S. next time, if you’re curious about the location of a vehicle, you can check Motorpedia in the
escmenu — it has all sorts of cool info :DEveryone was new once. Be the player you wish had welcomed you on your first day.
Vehicle & Driving Rules
1.Ramming
Ramming is against the rules. Doing so intentionally will result in administrative action.
2.Griefing
This goes hand-in-hand with ramming, but also covers: scattering cargo, making a mess intentionally, or trying to block roads on purpose.
If you wouldn’t want someone doing it to you, don’t do it to them.
3.Drive responsibly
Other players can be hauling valuable cargo that’s damaged if you accidentally hit them. When you’re around other drivers, take extra care so you don’t disturb their cargo.
4.Towing with winches
Towing with winches is not allowed — it can overwhelm and lag the server. Winching out a stuck vehicle is fine; we mean don’t drag a vehicle with a winch with the intent to tow it somewhere.
Use the underlift or a flatbed when towing is necessary.
5.Towing trains
Making a "train" of tow trucks, trailers, or other vehicles beyond the server’s allowed length is not allowed.
These trains lag the server, cause accidents, and clog roadways.
6.Vehicle & trailer length limits
The maximum combined vehicle length on TinyTown is 75 m — that’s your truck plus everything you’re pulling. Nothing longer than that is allowed anywhere on the map.
North island congests quickly, so it’s capped tighter: a maximum of 3 trailers (about 40 m combined). Keep your rigs short up north.
South island has the room — run as much as you can handle, up to the full 75 m. Use your best judgement: if a rig is long enough to block traffic, clog an intersection, or bottleneck a depot, shorten it.
Breaking this rule can lead to your vehicle being despawned without warning.
7.AI drivers
At the moment, company AI drivers are allowed. However, if they’re causing excessive congestion, an admin may despawn them.
When the server FPS drops below 30, AI drivers will automatically despawn.
8.Company AI trailer limit
Company AI drivers are limited to a maximum of 2 trailers. Longer AI rigs move slowly, handle poorly, and block traffic for everyone else.
Breaking this rule can lead to your vehicles being despawned without warning.
9.Vehicle abandonment
Unused vehicles must be despawned after their use. Leaving vehicles trashed all over the map increases lag.
The one exception is Campys — they act as teleportation points, so they’re allowed to stay parked.
Cargo & Freight
1.High-value cargo
High-value cargo includes (but is not limited to) steel products (coils, beams, etc.), oversized loads like transformers and tanks, and Terras.
Terras can only be purchased if you contributed to them. Joining the server just to grab a Terra and leaving is not allowed.
We track every purchase, every movement, and every haul — so don’t think you can do this without us noticing. We’re always watching, Wazowski. 😉
2.Cargo destruction
Loading up a truck full of cargo and then despawning it is frowned upon. If you can, please try to make it to the destination so the cargo doesn’t go to waste.
The same goes for towing: if possible, have TDOT tow you to a garage or your destination so you don’t lose trailers and cargo.
3.Import / export balance
Try to maintain a healthy import/export balance. We want to be exporting more than we import so that we keep our trade policies high.
In practice: don’t import things that can be produced locally on the island while we’re in a deficit.
4.Export limitations
Certain high-value items are prohibited from being exported when they’re in significant demand elsewhere on the island.
For example: if the steel factory is starving for coal, fill it up first before trying to export coal. This makes sure we have steel coils and beams available for local deliveries before they ship out.
Items that are almost always in high local demand: steel coils, H-beams, tanks, and transformers. Try not to export these if you can help it.
Property & Housing
1.Every property must have a large parking space
All properties and plots you rent must have at least one large parking space built on them.
A large parking space lets your neighbors spawn a vehicle after fast-travelling to your plot, keeping the town connected and accessible to everyone. Build one with a blueprint from The Architect.
2.One plot per player
Each player may rent only one property / plot at a time. Land on Jeju is limited, so we keep it fair — claim the one you want and make it home.
3.Rental period (7 days)
Property rentals last 7 days (one real-life week). Renew before your lease expires by re-interacting with the plot’s postbox, otherwise the plot returns to the public pool for someone else to rent.
This keeps land available for active players and prevents plots from being hogged by accounts that have stopped playing.
Roleplay
1.Roleplay engagement
Roleplay is not required, but is strongly encouraged — it fits the existing theme and nature of TinyTown.
2.Opt-out
By default, roleplay is opt-in. If you don’t want to engage, just say so — something like "I’m not interested in RP right now" is enough.
You can revoke RP consent at any time, for any reason.
3.Topics
We want you to have fun, but there are roleplay topics and scenes we don’t want to see: rape or any sexual violence, sexual acts of any kind, suicide or self-harm, domestic abuse, and other sensitive subjects people may not want to be exposed to.
If a player asks you to change the topic, or says they don’t like the boundaries of the scene, drop the scene and respect their request — immediately.
These rules apply everywhere — in-game, on the website, on Discord, on the forum, in groups, and any other TinyTown space.
These rules can change at any time, so please check them regularly.
